ServIndy – Community Guidelines

ServIndy is a job pairing gateway for the service and hospitality industry. These Community Guidelines
explain how we expect professionals, bands, and establishments to behave on the platform and in
interactions that arise from it. They work alongside our
Terms of Use and
Privacy Policy.
By using ServIndy, you agree to follow these Guidelines. Violations may result in content removal,
feature limits, account suspension, or termination.
1. Core Principles
- Respect. Treat everyone with professionalism and respect, online and offline.
- Honesty. Be truthful about who you are, what you do, and what you offer.
- Safety. Prioritize the safety of yourself and others at all times.
- Non-discrimination. Honor equal opportunity principles and applicable laws.
- Professionalism. Remember that ServIndy is for work and hiring, not personal or dating purposes.
2. Who These Guidelines Apply To
These Guidelines apply to all users of ServIndy, including:
- Service professionals (e.g., bartenders, servers, hosts, cooks, barbacks, security, etc.);
- Bands and performers (e.g., DJs, live bands, solo acts);
- Establishments (e.g., bars, restaurants, nightclubs, venues, food trucks, hotels, event companies).
They cover your use of the app, your profile and job postings, your communications on the platform,
and conduct connected to work opportunities discovered through ServIndy.
3. Building Honest and Professional Profiles
3.1 Professionals and Bands
- Use your real name or a professional stage name that you consistently use in your work.
- Provide accurate information about your skills, roles, experience, certifications, and availability.
- Do not exaggerate qualifications, licenses, or past roles.
- Keep your profile current as your skills and schedule change.
- Use recent, work-appropriate photos and videos that reflect your role and capabilities.
3.2 Establishments
- Provide accurate business information, including business name, type, and location.
- Describe roles, responsibilities, and expectations honestly.
- Represent pay ranges, tips expectations, and shift structure as accurately as possible.
- Ensure job posts and communications reflect your actual hiring needs and practices.
- Do not post misleading opportunities or “bait and switch” roles.
4. Content Standards
All content on ServIndy (profiles, job posts, photos, videos, messages, and other materials)
must follow these standards.
4.1 Permitted Content
Content that is generally acceptable includes:
- Work-related photos and short videos (e.g., bartending, cooking, service skills, stage performance).
- Clear job descriptions, shift details, and hiring needs.
- Professional bios, experience summaries, and skills lists.
- Photos of venues, bars, kitchens, stages, and relevant work environments.
4.2 Prohibited Content
You may not upload, share, or transmit content that includes:

Minors. Any content that depicts or involves anyone under 18,
or individuals who appear to be under 18.

Sexual or explicit content. Nude or sexually explicit photos or videos, sexual services,
or content primarily intended to arouse sexual interest.

Hate, harassment, or threats. Content that attacks, demeans, or threatens individuals
or groups, including slurs or incitement to violence.

Graphic violence or self-harm. Content that glorifies or encourages physical harm,
extreme violence, self-harm, or suicide.

Illegal activity. Promotion or depiction of illegal drug use, weapons, or criminal behavior,
or offers of illegal services.

Scams and fraud. Attempts to solicit money, financial information, or access
under false pretenses, including fake jobs or fake candidates.

Infringing content. Content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
(for example, using photos or logos without permission).

Unlawful discrimination. Job posts or profiles that express discriminatory preferences
or requirements in violation of applicable law (for example, based on race, color, religion, sex,
national origin, age, disability, or other protected characteristics).

Private data without consent. Sensitive personal details (such as full home address,
government IDs, or financial account numbers) shared without permission.
5. Professional Conduct and Communication
When communicating on ServIndy or in work-related interactions that originate on ServIndy:
- Keep language professional, clear, and respectful.
- Do not send unsolicited sexual or romantic messages or content.
- Do not use insults, slurs, or degrading remarks toward others.
- Do not pressure anyone into accepting work, pay, or terms they are not comfortable with.
- Discuss expectations (pay, hours, responsibilities, dress code, arrival time) as clearly as possible.
- Honor commitments you make where feasible and communicate promptly when plans must change.
6. Non-Discrimination and Fair Opportunity
ServIndy is not an employer, but we expect all users to respect equal opportunity principles and follow
the employment and labor laws that apply to them.

Do not refuse to consider or hire candidates, or refuse to consider or accept roles, based on
protected characteristics under applicable law.

Avoid discriminatory language in profiles, posts, and messages.

As an establishment, ensure that hiring, scheduling, and compensation decisions follow applicable law.

As a professional, interact with establishments and other workers with respect and without harassment or discrimination.
7. Safety – Online and On-Site
7.1 Online Safety
- Be cautious when sharing personal contact information. Do not share financial details via chat.
- Be wary of offers that seem too good to be true or requests for money or gift cards.
- Report suspicious profiles, messages, or job postings to ServIndy.
7.2 On-Site and Shift Safety

Establishments should provide a safe and lawful work environment that follows applicable health, safety,
and alcohol service rules.

Professionals and bands should follow workplace safety rules and report concerns to the establishment
and appropriate authorities as needed.

If you ever feel unsafe, you should prioritize your safety and remove yourself from the situation
where reasonable.
ServIndy does not control and is not responsible for on-site conditions or interactions, but we want to
help keep the community safe on-platform by removing users who are reported for serious or repeated misconduct.
8. Misuse of the Platform
You may not use ServIndy to:
- Recruit for non-work purposes (such as dating, personal meetups, or unrelated promotions).
- Send bulk or automated messages, spam, or advertisements unrelated to legitimate job or hiring needs.
- Harvest or scrape user information without explicit permission.
- Sell, trade, or transfer ServIndy accounts.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Coordinate harmful or unlawful activities.
9. Reporting, Review, and Enforcement
9.1 Reporting
You can report users, content, or behavior that you believe violates these Guidelines or our Terms by:
- Using any in-app reporting tools where available; or
- Emailing us at support@servindy.com with details and screenshots if possible.
9.2 Our Review Process
When we receive a report, we may:
- Review the reported content and activity;
- Request additional information from the reporter or the user involved;
- Take actions we deem appropriate based on the severity and frequency of the issue.
9.3 Possible Actions
We may take one or more of the following actions, in our sole discretion:
- Remove or edit content that violates these Guidelines;
- Issue warnings or guidance to users;
- Limit certain features (for example, messaging or posting);
- Suspend accounts temporarily;
- Terminate accounts permanently;
- Notify law enforcement or other authorities where required by law or warranted by the situation.
We may take action based on behavior on or off the platform when that behavior poses a risk to the safety
or integrity of the ServIndy community.
10. Appeals and Mistakes
If you believe we took enforcement action in error, you may contact us at
support@servindy.com with an explanation and any relevant details.
While we cannot guarantee a particular outcome, we will review reasonable appeals.
11. Relationship to Terms of Use
These Community Guidelines are part of your agreement with us and are incorporated into our
Terms of Use. If there is a conflict between these Guidelines and the Terms of Use,
the Terms of Use control.
12. Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, the law,
or our policies. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and may provide
additional notice as required.
Your continued use of ServIndy after an update becomes effective means you agree to the updated Guidelines.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
